Carolyn B. Cuthrell

Assistant Pastor Cuthrell received her early spiritual training at Mt. Bethel under the leadership of Bishop J. G. Simonton. It was through her family's commitment to God and her upbringing at Mt. Bethel that she was introduced to the Lord. As a young saint at Mt. Bethel, she began her spiritual journey. However, God had another plan for her life. Led by the Spirit, she stepped out in faith with Mother Henrietta Ellis Moore and Sister Barbara Imes in 1975, following a path that would lead to Lilly's Chapel.

Her commitment and faithfulness to God despite life's circumstances led to her being ordained as Assistant Pastor in 2006. God has blessed Assistant Pastor Cuthrell to remain faithful to Him, the doctrine, the duties of the church and her family. In 2017 she was diagnosed with Non–Hopkins Lymphoma, and Breast Cancer again in 2024. God strengthened her body to go through the chemo and blessed the congregation as we witnessed her walk by faith!

Assistant Pastor Carolyn B. Cuthrell, a charter member of Lilly’s Chapel, stands solid and firm as a pillar in Greater Lilly’s Chapel. To say her life and relationship with God are inspirational would be a gross understatement. Assistant Pastor Cuthrell walks with integrity and strives to fulfill her reasonable service unto God. Even in the midst of trials, she walks with Grace in a spirit of faithfulness and steadfastness that radiates throughout the Body of Christ. The trials she has endured in life allows her ministry to speak strength, steadfastness and healing into the feeble and broken.

She has a profound love for the church, the spirit of a leader, the heart of God, and the mind of Christ. God has blessed her with a ministry that strengthens the heart and inspires hope, contentment, faith, trust, and perseverance.
